2005 and 2006
Wrongful Death Settlement (amount confidential): On behalf of the family of a pipe layer killed in the collapse of a water and sewer trench in Mooresville, North Carolina.
Wrongful Death Settlement (amount confidential): On behalf of the family of a 28 year old Newton, North Carolina resident killed in a head-on collision that occurred when the defendant driver crossed the center line of a two lane highway into the decedent’s path of travel.
Dog Attack (Pit Bull) Settlement: On behalf of a Salisbury, NC resident and real estate agent who was attacked by an unrestrained pit bull dog on the defendant’s property.

Settlement (products liability/automobile manufacturer), on behalf of a Missouri woman whose leg was severely injured when a minivan was inadvertently shifted from park to reverse by a young child. Case stems from the lack of a safety device now present on virtual all minivans and automobiles.
Settlement on behalf of an elderly Cabarrus County woman injured after slipping on a wet floor at a local supermarket. The floor condition had been reported and neglected by store workers before the fall.
Settlements on behalf of two passengers injured in a tractor-trailer/motor vehicle accident at an intersection in Rowan County.
Settlement on behalf of a domestic help worker based on her claims of outrageous conduct, sexual harassment, assault and battery.

2002:
Mr. Mauriello tried successfully before a jury a case in Rowan County on behalf of 3 workers at a local Salisbury North Carolina polyester manufacturing plant for the development of an incurable lung disease (asbestosis). It is the only known reported successful jury verdict in this state case against a property owner for the development of the disease. The verdict of $400,000.00 was reported both in the local news and across the county through the associated press. A claim for punitive damages against the company is currently on appeal.
2001:
Mr. Mauriello represented the family of a wife and mother killed as a result of a claim against the manufacturer of a popular minivan for defective design. The case was settled favorable (settlement confidential) but equally important, the design flaw revealed in the case contributed to the filing of class action claims against the manufacturer in numerous states. The case handled by Mr. Mauriello was featured nationally on the ABC Prime Time television series. Mr. Mauriello is currently handling a North Carolina and New York class action suit on behalf of those with similar vehicles.
